John Dillwyn Llewelyn (Swansea: 1810 - 1882)
Rownham Ferry from Princes Terrace, Clifton / JDL would make regular visits to Bristol with his family, taking advantage of the change of scenery to take more photographs. On one of these visits, in March 1854, he wrote to his father about some of the problems he had encountered whilst taking photographs on location, dated 9th March and from an address at 7 Princes Buildings, Clifton the letter says: 'In different parts of Bristol and the vicinity I have already got six different rooms for my photographical work and hope when the weather becomes more settled than it is at present that I shall reap a fair harvest of photographs'. John Dillwyn Llewelyn also visited Bristol in 1856.
