A visual journey through Wales' second city
The physical face of Swansea has undergone enormous change over
the past century.
Dylan Thomas may have called it an ‘ugly,
lovely town', but Swansea had witnessed many remarkable changes
even before Dylan coined that famous phrase. With this website,
we hope to show how both major and minor events have moulded Swansea
into the ever-expanding city we see today.
We need your help.
Initially, the website will contain images and photographs held
by Swansea Museums Service. You can help us by submitting your memories of the
places and buildings depicted in the photographs shown on the website. You can
also submit your own photographs to add to the collection on display.
